A biochemist by training and a researcher with inquisitiveness in understanding the biological dimension of Ayurveda, both as a lifestyle and as an intervention. My core research area comprises Integrative medicine, Ayurveda, network pharmacology, cancer biology and therapeutics. Over a period of time, I trained in animal experiments and cell culture techniques along with computational approaches for exploration of Ayurveda-based botanicals as therapeutic adjuvants in cancer. My doctoral research encompasses synergism of chemotherapeutic drug and botanicals, metastasis and multidrug resistance in cancer, development of preclinical model of chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression and its application to test botanicals with an upper hand in Ashwagandha.

Akash-Profile

Eventually, I achieved a competence in network pharmacology to understand the putative molecular mechanism of botanicals through biological pathways of diseases. Alongside my doctoral research I am also a reviewer of Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine and have few publications in peer-reviewed journals to my credit. Additionally, I gained industrial experience with Serum Institute of India as a part of my doctoral collaboration.

Apart from scientific background, I am fond of creative artistic fronts including graphical abstracts, suspense thriller movies, and music. I believe in integration by applying my creative skills for deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
