Honey-bee Network

Cross pollination in sciences produces far reaching changes. There are many examples of this as evidenced by the current status of biological sciences. Erwin Schrödinger’s lecture series on 'What is life?' attracted physicists to biology. This led to the discovery of structure of DNA and then development of genome and other omics sciences. Two centuries ago Louis Pasteur, a chemist, endeavored into biology and transformed science. This is the time to continue the dialogue across the knowledge disciplines.

Ayurveda is ‘Sarva Darshan Parishad’, (Congress of all schools of thought and philosophy). The Honey-Bee Network at Savitribai Phule Pune University continues this tradition. The CCIH has implemented a network of scientists and institutions to develop interactions, interfaces and integration. The network operates through formal and informal activities such as Journal Clubs, Saturday Clubs, Masterclass, meetings of minds and brainstorming sessions.
