Proactive, enthusiastic Pharma professional with PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. A University (SPPU) topper in M.Pharm decided to join Pharma academics, now offering 23+ years of experience in academics, research and industry in Pharmaceutical sciences. I have worked in a voluntary capacity as a Reviewer in the research team for Project MANAV funded by DBT and Co-funded by Persistent technology and IISER, Pune.

Currently working as Journal manager for an Elsevier journal, Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. I am also involved in various activities of AYUSH COE-II project like AYUSH research fellowship programme, capacity building initiatives and research activities.

During my tenure in academics, I was instrumental in writing proposals and fetching grants from Savitribai Phule Pune University, AICTE and Pharmacy Council of India for research projects and seminars. I received the best research project award by SPPU in Innovation 2008. I was invited as Subject expert by the board of studies, Pharmacognosy for syllabus framing at SPPU. I was invited as evaluator, chairperson, and scientific committee member for a few conferences. I have been a resource person at the Reorientation training programme sponsored by AYUSH organised by National Research Institute of basic Ayurvedic sciences and other by regional research institutes.

During my industrial experience as Associate scientific manager and handling team at Innoplexus consulting services, I realized the need to groom budding pharma/science graduate students with soft skills and basics of scientific publication writing before they get exposed to industry and hence started my venture to guide students on soft skills, scientific research paper writing.

I have around 15 publications in national and international peer reviewed journals, 40 + poster/oral presentations at various conferences and symposia and 3 books published with Dr. S.B. Gokhale as co-author.

My areas of interest are - Herbal medicine, Phyto-Pharmacology, Integrative medicine, drug development.
