A translational research scientist strives on new challenges everyday and strongly promotes integrative research. I pursued a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacology and Toxicology- A role of PK-PD differences in diabetes and healthy conditions: A step towards personalized therapy) backed with a masters in biomedical sciences that specializes in drug discovery and development.
During the doctoral research, his team work on deciphering the pathogenesis, and development of novel, clinically simulated animal models for, both NSAID-gastroenteropathy and NSAID-gastroenteropathy in diabetic rats. The work gave rise to one patent and G-Achari prize.
Over a period of time,I specialized to work in the area of drug Interaction, herb-drug-disease interaction, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, integrative PK-PD modelling, development of clinically simulated novel translational animal models and clinical trials focusing Ayurveda-based fundamental and integrative research. .
Additionally, I am associated with Elsevier (Outstanding Reviewer, Advisor), Frontiers in Pharmacology (Reviewer, Guest Editor), AuthorAid (Mentor), Cliniserve. Pvt. Ltd (Visiting Lead Auditor), Springer-Nature, Willey and Taylor & Francis (Reviewer).
So far, with my experiential education I could publish 22 articles, 2 book chapters, 15+ oral/poster presentations at the national-international level and 2 patents and 2 trademarks, awards, medals to my credit. We are having various ongoing in-silico, in vitro, ex-vivo, pre-clinical, and clinical research projects in the area of non-communicable diseases (diabetes and associated morbidities, gastroenteropathy, cancer, and arthritis), and communicable disease (COVID-19 and HIV).
The exploratory special projects are- rejuvenation (Rasayana concept), AyuGenomics, Ayur-Pharmacometabolomics, AIML based safety and efficacy prediction, Ayurvedic Biology, development of computational pipelines (herb-drug Interaction and network pharmacology).
