Dr Sameer graduated as a skilled endodontist from the prestigious Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai in 1999. With a dental laser Master’s from Vienna, Austria, he has 3 patents in India to his credit. Additionally, he has completed his diploma in Medico-Legal systems and a course in Clinical Research at Symbiosis, Pune. He has 20 years of long-standing experience as an academician and a clinician in Pune. He is a known guest faculty, a chairperson, and a speaker at numerous national conferences related to a wide range of subjects including laser applications in dentistry, Dental ergonomics, and minimally invasive endodontics. He is currently hon. Secretary of the Society of oral laser application India, SOLA and an associate editor of the Journal of Dental Laser by sola India.

A recipient of awards for conducting dental camps and charitable activities. He is presently a Ph.D. research scholar in the Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences, SPPU, Pune. His Ph.D. study focuses on oil pulling for oral health as an Ayurveda intervention for daily maintenance of oral health. Oil pulling is gargling with any edible cold press oil every day. It offers several oral and general health benefits. His areas of broader interest are traditional/herbal remedies for oral health and dental caries vaccine development.
